As we Celebrate the Learnings from Wonderful Souls - Children....We reflect on being Non-Judgemental...

There are so many profound aspects that we realize are so crucial in the way we live our lives... The sad part is - most of them are never part or never inculcated in schooling.... If they become as important as our subjects taught in school - then all of us would have a far more fulfilling life and enjoy the spirit of life...

Stories....You....Child....Imagination....

So what does story mean to you? Mean to a child?....What does a story need? .... Stories are how we convey our deepest emotions... Stories connect to us in number of ways... Emotionally, they bond us to others.  At their best,  stories are incredibly persuasive because they ‘speak  to us’ at a very meaningful, emotional, and often unconscious  level. Stories play a vital role in the growth and development of children. That's how we see there are loads and loads of awareness these days about the importance of stories, story telling, story tellers and every possible way that we could connect children and stories..Thanks to the efforts by one and all!!!  Also, one more aspect of stories is that - There is no need to have special place, timing, skill, theme or anything needed to connect to a child with a story...Isn't it???....Think about it.... And while you think.... Here are a few simple ideas to try with the child on the go -  (some of the ...

Discipline....

What is this discipline all about? We hear about this term “Discipline” from the time we were young and continues almost at every stage of our life.. Type in the word and you have umpteen quotes, articles, books, strategies, Do’s, Don’ts, People, Life and everything that revolves around “Discipline” Hmmm...Think about how much does this word exists in your life?? Look at your day and somewhere or the other this word creeps in different forms and proportions... If you have a child in your life or child - close to your life then this word is even more dearer.... !!! And if you are a Teacher then you can’t ever dream of keeping this away even for a day in your life...It’s like your basic app that exists in your phone - without which you cannot operate your phone.... How about looking at discipline from a totally different view and trying the same?  Let's look at a few scenarios a classroom & how we could approach the same through different lens... Chi...

So what do kids teach us???

What are the most common things that you see in children? No no...I am not labeling them - it's just about a few things that you will significantly notice when you are around children - They are "The Most Bussssssssyyyyyyy" people - They are the most busy people you can ever find anywhere - look around - observe - do you see them quiet anytime? Well, probably only when they are asleep (but you never know the action happening behind the closed eyes ;)) They put up with our constant tantrums - Yes!! I mean it - how much do we go behind them all the time constantly - Get up, get ready, time, finish  your milk, did you brush, wear your shoes, run, eat, write, learn, come, go, wait, sit, sleep, watch, listen, respect, bye, say hello, wear properly, don't spill, see there.......;) aaaah!!! don't weeee??? I know completely understandable - yes we need to :).....They still, put up with all this day in day out - Think about it :)...Thankfully they...

Listen....

Whenever I read this - It rings a bell...It brings in awareness of what we do to children sometimes Unconsciously.... ...'Listen'.... Each of it expressed in here is so very true.... Author - Anonymous When I ask you to listen to me and you start giving me advice, you have not done what I asked. When I ask you to listen to me and you begin to tell me why I shouldn’t feel that way, you are trampling on my feelings. When I ask you to listen to me and you feel you have to do something to solve my problem, you have failed me, strange as that may seem. Listen! All I ask is that you listen. Don’t talk or do – just hear me. Advice is cheap; 20 cents will get you both Dear Abby and Billy Graham in the same newspaper. And I can do for myself; I am not helpless. Maybe discouraged and faltering, but not helpless. When you do something for me that I can and need to do for myself, you contribute to my fear and inadequacy. But when you accept as a simple fact that I feel what I feel, n...
